Vornado Plaza33

Learn More

What began as a temporary, streetscape pop-up experience has become a permanent pedestrian oasis and arts/entertainment venue: Plaza33, located on a now-closed-to-traffic section of West 33rd Street adjacent to hectic Penn Station in NYC.

Vornado Realty Trust asked productionglue to transform the noisy, congested area from a place commuters flee into an engaging, respite-filled destination. Combining our civic boosterism and design chops, we created a true people’s plaza, tricked out with comfortable seating and planters constructed from Brazilian cumaru teak, free wi-fi, tasty food stands and sculptures by notable artists like Keith Haring. Intriguing free events have kept visitors coming back to delight in live music, dancing, workouts, board gaming and more.
