TIME100 Summit and Gala

Learn More

In 2020, productionglue worked on the planning of the TIME100 Summit and Gala which got canceled two weeks prior to load in due to COVID-19. After two virtual years, the time was right for TIME to bring back live, in-person experiences. So, they asked us to dial up the drama for 2 spectacular events to honor the world’s most influential people at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The TIME100 Summit kicked off with a moving performance by legendary artist Jon Batiste, then global leaders from the TIME100 community convened to seek solutions for a better world. Apple CEO, Tim Cook, talked about the future of business, and Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley dug into our planet in the balance. Bill Gates addressed preventing future pandemics and athlete, Eileen Gu, shared how she found her voice. This powerful one-day summit was live-streamed around the globe. The following day, the TIME100 Gala took place. A bespoke chandelier featuring the honorees was designed by Scenic Designer David Korins, along with a dimensional red-carpet step-and-repeat.

Sensational performances by Miranda Lambert and Mary J. Blige supercharged both live and at-home spectators. Our team worked hand-in-hand with TIME Studios pivoting last minute to accommodate broadcast, airing on ABC with optimal sightlines. We flexed our production magic to ensure that this marquee event went off without a hitch, lending our support with everything from technical direction and project management to key creative and design including scenic and sponsorship activations. We tackled talent and show management along with things like permitting and venue coordination.

TIME100 was an unforgettable celebration that came alive through production magic. It drove at-home viewership and honored the ideas and individuals who are changing our world through thrilling in-person experiences.
