The Bowery Mission has been serving New Yorkers experiencing homelessness and hunger since the 1870s. This year they were looking to host a virtual fundraising gala and honor their COVID Heroes, the essential workers who were there every day of the pandemic – helping others.
We donated our time to ensure The Bowery Mission annual fundraising gala – shined online. Our team worked their magic behind the scenes to help this virtual event take flight. To keep guests entertained we combined pre-recorded content with a live feed and paired it with a platform that allowed guests to mingle. They got to enjoy the program from the comfort of their home. Host, Gayle King, spoke about The Bowery’s mission to care for New Yorkers in need and the transformational work they do providing to-go meals, hygiene services, clean clothing, emergency shelter, caring counsel, life-transforming residential services, and practical support for families.
This virtual experience celebrated all of those who rolled up their sleeves and went to work during an unprecedented time that left so many New Yorkers without basic necessities.
