Talking Transition New York City

Learn More

Proving democracy doesn’t end at the voting booth, productionglue helped 10 major nonprofit foundations create a civic engagement hub—Talking Transition New York City—where everyday New Yorkers could weigh in with their big ideas and policy wishlists for the new, incoming Mayor de Blasio administration and help shape the future of their city.

Serving as the comprehensive creative, production and management leads, we constructed a radically transparent, 15,000 sq.ft. bespoke tent on bustling Canal Street, beckoning participants via a giant light sculpture-sign encouraging “TALK.” Inside, citizens used our innovative video soapbox to record messages and publicize their opinions via social media; added thoughts to our vision wall; and contributed to dozens of open forums with policy experts.
