Marriott Rockefeller Center
To celebrate the merger of Marriott and Starwood hotel groups into the largest hotel company in the world, productionglue took over Rockefeller Center with a highly visible spectacular one-day event. Using the courtyard as a canvas, we created a nearly 4,000 square foot map of the world complete with location indicators of all the combined worldwide Starwood and Marriott properties.
For guests with updated Marriott Rewards Cards, a gamification layer brought the experience to life as they could tap keycards on the pins to win a trip. Lighting built into the pins indicated who had won and further added to the spectacle of the event.
The Today Show anchors kicked off the day with a remote broadcast from the courtyard before opening the doors to the thousands of guests that went through the activation.
