In honor of the beloved sitcom Friend’s 25th anniversary, HBO Max wanted to throw an epic celebration for the screening of their much-anticipated Friends Reunion special. This top-secret bi-coastal event needed to be ready for prime time in just under a week.

We partnered up with Civic Entertainment Group to create a COVID compliant, superfan screening experience, transforming LA’s Forever Hollywood Cemetery into a broadcast-ready, red carpet extravaganza fit for a whole lot of Friends. All eyes turned center stage for a friendly trivia competition, then as the sun eased back into the horizon, the theme song kicked into high gear, and attendees sang along through headsets as they sat back and reveled in an epic reunion. Surprise celebrity guest appearances helped achieve fandomoniam as cheering crowds squealed with delight. Food trucks and a DJ were on hand to help kick this reunion into high gear, there was even a fountain photo moment that let fans get cozy with friends.

To make the magic happen, we installed giant trusses and decking to create a stage outfitted with LED screens, lighting, and audio, brought in a generator to help power up an internet system that kept the show flowing. We could not have been any more excited to make this event happen.

Over 200 super fans and VIPs were on hand for this momentous occasion. The world walked the digital red carpet and tuned in to see their favorite Friends reunited – 25 years later.
