Cornell Tech Campus Opening

Learn More

How do you celebrate the opening of a $2 billion project that will cement New York City’s place as a center for tech innovation? That’s the question Cornell University asked us as they prepared to unveil the newly built Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island.

We answered by showcasing the facility’s striking architecture, allowing the campus to speak for itself, hosting festivities in a clear elegantly branded tent that provided amazing site lines. We ensured that attendees’ packed program highlighted different aspects of the campus, and seamlessly guided them through the experience. A high-touchpoint reception took place just outside the Bloomberg Center, where guests holding signature cocktails were ushered into the tent to indulge in an extraordinary sunset dinner. VIPs including Mayor Bill de Blasio, Michael R. Bloomberg, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, Cornell Tech Dean Daniel Huttenlocher, and Cornell President Martha E Pollack were on hand, and leaders of this monumental project addressed the assembled party.

The following day brought media to the tent for an exclusive experience that highlighted the benefits to the community and culminated in rousing brass band fanfare as red streamers fell from the sky. Shortly after the press event, we readied the space for a conference that was live-streamed to a global audience.

Image is everything. Cornell Tech wanted to ensure that their newest venture was well-received by all, creating an elegant experience befitting this storied institution that both engaged audiences and dazzled media.
