Mr. Robot took over San Diego — with branded buses, Ubers, and a massive “fsociety” street team — all discreetly guiding Comic-Con go-ers to the Mr. Robot VR Experience.

Taking over a historic landmark building in the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego, we re-created two sets from the show — The Mr. Robot Computer Repair Store and Elliot’s apartment. Knowing the exhaustive detail to which Comic-Con-ers and Mr. Robot fans alike scrutinize replicas, we carefully matched intricate set pieces, props, and minute details. Once inside Elliot’s apartment, fans were given Samsung Gear headsets to enjoy an exclusive 11 minute Mr. Robot VR experience.
