Beginning his career as a technician in Philadelphia’s non-profit theater world, Lowell’s technical aptitude led to an early leadership position as head electrician in a LORT C company at the tender age of 22. After moving to New York in 2007, Lowell returned to school where his studies led him to a new passion: championing corporate responsibility and sustainability.
Lowell is a master multi-tasker, having dual roles at productionglue — that of Production Manager, as well as our first Sustainability Manager. With a long-term goal of integrating efficiency and sustainability, he tirelessly works towards harmonizing a triple bottom line: people, planet, and profit. Helping glue and our clients make the most of available resources, he finds new ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle every part of an event, such as integrating alternative energy power generation (bio, solar and fuel cell) technologies and formalized waste diversion. Some of our most ambitiously sustainable projects have more than 95% diversion rates which would qualify as Zero-Waste and have extensive composting – accomplishments that Lowell and glue are incredibly proud of, as there can be much waste in the live events industry if dedication and attention isn’t given. Lowell has continued to grow our knowledge, resources, best practices and protocol throughout our projects, supporting many clients’ own corporate sustainability initiatives, including Nike, Jordan, Bad Boy Off Road, Ft. Lauderdale Tourism and Taiwan Tourism, to name a few.
When not juggling multitude of green efforts and traveling the world, you’ll find Lowell and his family in his adopted home of Jersey City.Lowell Fox
