Dan began his 20 year career working in film production on commercials and music videos, for clients as varied as Mercedes, JC Penney and the Red Cross, and talent ranging from Barbra Streisand to the Wu Tang Clan. Moving into the live events and meetings space, he developed content and staging production for JetBlue, Ford Motor Company, Intel and Samsung among many others for both retail and event marketing usages.
He led the teams that developed content and strategy for ABC Television and ABC Family on their upfronts, the first time either organization went out-of-house. Prior to that he was part of the team that developed an experiential upfront for NBC designed to showcase the breadth of NBC’s portfolio. Keenly interested in applying technology to the event channel he was part of the leadership team that produced the largest digital screen takeover ever in Times Square for the launch of Windows 8. More recently he launched Xbox in China at Asia’s largest gaming event in Shanghai and developed a program for Ericsson to showcase its connected car technology.
In his spare time he annoys his friends and embarrasses his daughters by tinkering with ancient Polaroid cameras; he also describes himself as a lapsed marathon runner.Daniel Markham
